Soontorn Inthayok is a day laborer and part-time guard, serving as the primary wage earner for his family in Northern Thailand. The 49-year-old provides for his older sister, who is mentally disabled, and his son, who is attending technical college. He also overcomes his personal disability to bring home earnings of approximately $300 US dollars per month. While Soontorn works extremely hard, often the monthly expenses of food, utilities and tuition are more than what he earns.

Texas Baptists is partnering with an organization known as Ministry Safe to better address the issue of child sexual abuse in the local Church. We are concerned about the wellbeing of children and greatly desire to see that suffering, especially at the hands of child predators, be prevented. Through this partnership, we are offering training opportunities for your church leaders, as well as other resources to help your church become aware and informed about how to prevent child sexual abuse.
