DALLAS – This year, during Texas Baptists’ Annual Meeting in Waco, nine churches will be recognized for their Cooperative Program giving. Since 1925, the Cooperative Program has provided the fuel to fund missions work in Texas, the United States and around the world.
“Over the past 91 years Texas Baptists have seen God do some amazing things through the unselfish giving of partnering churches,” said Chris Liebrum, director of Cooperative Program Ministry.

Texas Baptists is partnering with an organization known as Ministry Safe to better address the issue of child sexual abuse in the local Church. We are concerned about the wellbeing of children and greatly desire to see that suffering, especially at the hands of child predators, be prevented. Through this partnership, we are offering training opportunities for your church leaders, as well as other resources to help your church become aware and informed about how to prevent child sexual abuse.
