2012 ISAAC Training Seminars
2012 Basic Immigration Law Training Seminars and Summer Institute
The Immigration Service and Aid Center will sponsor two training seminars and a week-long summer institute in 2012. These seminars are designed for non-profit and religious organizations that are interested in becoming recognized and accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals.
One of the main requirements for obtaining partial or full accreditation through BIA is experience with, and knowledge of immigration law and procedure. At a minimum, the applicant must have 40 hours of training in immigration law.
Who Should Attend:
- Ministers and churches interested in ministry to immigrants.
- Individuals who seek education on legal issues affecting immigrants.
- Individuals and non-profits that desire to be federally recognized and accredited to offer legal services to immigrants.
