Go Now Missions student summer missionaries discovered God’s call was only a prayer or phone conversation away.

Vanessa Solis, a recent Angelina State University graduate, prayed since the beginning of the year for God to show her “something extreme to go all out for God.” For much of the Spring semester, nothing seemed to fit that criteria. Then her BSM director called and told her Go Now Missions – the Cooperative Program-supported student missions arm of Texas Baptists – was looking for a bilingual female student to serve in Venezuela. I have been thinking lately about all the information I have heard in recent years concerning our immigration situation. If you are like me, it is hard to know who is telling the truth and who is disseminating information that has not been verified. Before trying to sort out those facts, I thought I would look into some of my favorite Bible passages and see if I could learn anything about working with people of other cultures.
