Are you ready to seize the day and be a blessing to the students, teachers, staff and families connected to your local school? I know that I am and I hope that you are too!

Who can push prison rates down?

Once upon a time there was a criminal justice system that was growing and growing. It was a tough on crime and short on treatment. Offenders came and went and in no time at all, came back again for additional sentences because of additional crimes. Prison staff saw the predictable pattern of addiction which, left untreated, became the return ticket to prison because of new drug-related crimes. Law enforcement saw it. Harvard Medical School now offers a program for third-year students to combat “ethical erosion” and to help students retain their idealism, reports Duke Divinity School’s Faith & Leadership web site.
