2013 Basic Immigration Law Training Seminars and Summer Institute

The Immigration Service and Aid Center will sponsor two, 5-day summer institutes in 2013.

In addition to the San Antonio Summer Institute, a new one will be offered in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in partnership by ISAAC and ALM Immigration Services.

These intensive training events are designed for non-profit and religious organizations that are interested in becoming recognized and accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals.

One of the main requirements for obtaining partial or full accreditation through BIA is experience with, and knowledge of immigration law and procedure. At a minimum, the applicant must have 40 hours of training in immigration law.

Who Should Attend:

  • Individuals and community-based non-profits that desire to obtain BIA recognition and accreditation to offer legal services to immigrants.
  • Ministers and churches interested in ministry to immigrants.
