Dear Texas Baptist Church,

Thank you for considering the Baptist General Convention of Texas your missions partner in reaching Texas and the world for Christ. It is my hope that we will soon meet and as a convention of 5,300 churches begin to work through existing and new ways to partner in ministry.

So, welcome to the BGCT – or as we say – Texas Baptists. I am truly grateful for your commitment to missions, ministry, evangelism and caring for others and please see your convention as a means to foster and encourage these efforts for your church and an opportunity for your church to do the same for the entire convention.

Some information that may be of interest to you:
-the missions and ministries of Texas Baptists PDF on this page;
-a short history of the convention;
-a giving form for participating in the Cooperative Program (CP), a cooperative missions effort;

All of this information and more is available online at texasBaptists.org and specific information and online giving to CP can be found at texasBaptists.org/cp.

Your convention exists to serve you and provide your church with missions connections in Texas and around the world to accomplish God’s work that no one church can do alone.

Since the BGCT is your convention, I personally invite you and your church staff to visit the Baptist Building in Dallas. You can even have a staff meeting or planning retreat in the conference rooms. The BGCT staff is also available to attend your meetings and help in various aspects of church life. While you are in the building, please come by my office so we get a chance to meet or catch up.

Thank you for joining us in sharing the hope in Christ.
