Food Insecure: An Intriguing Term
Who in Texas lives day to day without having confidence that he or she will eat a decent meal every day? Who goes to bed hungry? Who leaves for school hungry? Who can’t provide a decent meal for his or her child every day? Lots of people in Texas, that’s who.
Who Cares? We Do
Texas Baptists do. As part of finding ways to connect, encourage and support churches, the Baptist General Convention of Texas strives to help churches find resources to feed the hungry in their communities more efficiently. The Daily Bread initiative is an attempt to help churches minister in Jesus’ name, knowing God hears the prayer, ‘give us this day our daily bread.’
