WEST— After a year of rebuilding from a tragedy that shook its little part of Texas, the town of West is still remembering, but a sense of change has overtaken the emotions of sorrow and remorse. Since my last update much has happened. I have spent more time in Fond des Negres and have been able to get to know some of the kids in our area. It seems nearly impossible for me to walk anywhere outside of my house without at least one child by my side. The children are so eager to give and receive love; they have so much joy. Full Story »
Michael Rama, his wife, and their 11-month-old son are homeless. Michael is the pastor of the Estancia Evangelical Church in the coastal town of Estancia, the Philippines. Michael and his family watched helplessly as the roof of the church parsonage and most of their belongings were shattered by Typhoon Haiyan. Full Story »

AJUY, the Philippines – During Typhoon Haiyan, many people were forced to evacuate their homes to seek higher ground or safer refuge. Villagers from Bobog needed to escape the remote area they were living in because of the great danger from the many trees around them and falling structures. Full Story »
ESTANCIA, the Philippines – Touring the coastal city of Estancia today was heartbreaking and overwhelming at times. The reality and the gravity of the situation hit each of us at different points and it was a very emotional day. The damage seemed to be even more severe than what we saw in Concepcion yesterday.
