Texas Baptists Missions Foundation
The annual regional Christian community development conference called, “No Need Among You,” will be held in Waco on September 15-18 with a great lineup of speakers and workshops. Bring your staff, volunteers and friends for this inexpensive training event and learn from practitioners who are doing effective work among the poor, marginalized and distressed neighborhoods. The workshops/speakers are from Thursday, 1:00, until noon on Saturday. You are also invited to stay for Mission Waco’s annual “Walk for the Homeless” at 8:00am on Sunday, morning, followed by Church Under the Bridge’s 19th Anniversary worship service under the Interstate 35 overpass. DALLAS – Texas Baptists have the opportunity to change a life and in the process help shape the direction of a nation.
Texas Baptists has partnered with Siloe Baptist School in Grande-Guave, spearheading an effort where individuals and groups can send impoverished Haitian children to a Christian school for $15 a month. The funds pay for a student’s books, tuition, uniform, backpack and supplies. Full Story »
MCALLEN – The Texas Baptist Missions Foundation held their annual awards luncheon Nov. 8 as a part of the annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas in McAllen. This year, the Foundation honored three individuals who have worked to spread the gospel in the Rio Grande Valley. Full Story »
