Assist in managing the convention’s strategy in telling the stories of what Texas Baptists are doing around the state and world. Direct ministry teams in telling their stories effectively through various avenues and producing content for those ministries. The Director of the Christian Life Commission is responsible for leadership, management and implementation of the CLC program as outlined in the governance of the BGCT: to provide information to churches and the Convention regarding ethical and moral concerns from a biblical perspective, to help Texas Baptists understand the issues in light of Christian ethical teaching, and to recommend appropriate application and ethical responses. The Director oversees the ethical issues, ISAAC and public policy programs of the CLC as well as the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering. Additionally, the Director is responsible for leadership, management and implementation of ministries and programs including Counseling and Community Care. The Director of CLC serves on BGCT leadership teams and represents the CLC to churches, individual Baptists, other denominational groups, faith organizations, the public policy arena, and affiliated human care institutions.
