Urgent Projects
Important New England Projects
July 9-13, 2012
This week long summer kids program called Kidsgames is in its 3 rd year of being hosted by Discovery Church in Weymouth. It is loved by the community and is impacting lives for Christ. Kidsgames is a sports/fun activities camp where life skills such as honor, integrity, selflessness etc. are taught using Bible stories. This year is shaping up to be shorthanded. They really need at least 15 team leaders that are spiritually and physically able to teach and re-emphasize the daily lessons through the routine of the daily activities. Currently they only have 4 confirmed. This is an incredible event that God has opened the door for them to use in their community. July 23-27, 2012
Gallup Hill Baptist Church is currently in transition and very much needs a team of 10 to 12 to come and lead a VBS style Upward Basketball / Cheer leading camp. The church has conducted Upward ministry for nine years and built a respect and open door for ministry in the community. It needs a team to assist conducting the camp outside of the regular team of leaders who are not as available in the summer. This could be an enormous help to this church and community. Contact Tim Buehner ASAP at (508) 393-6013 xt 222 or email tbuehner@bcne.net if you are at all interested.
Back to School
God is doing an exciting work on the West Side of Manchester, NH bringing together a 6 year old church plant with a 120 year old established congregation. They really could use teams to come along side to prayer walk and do surveys in the community as they seek to reach their neighbors with the gospel and establish a new identity in the community. They are also in need of help for some painting and light maintenance projects for their building. We could also use a team to help with a back to school outreach August 18.Contact Tim Buehner ASAP at (508) 393-6013 xt 222 or email tbuehner@bcne.net if you are at all interested.

Here are some facts related to the 2012 Vancouver Vision Tours:
- Each tour has a deadline for making reservations. We must make hotel reservations and local transportation plans. All I need is your credit card information for the hotel reservation: Type of card, name as it appears on card, card number, and expiration date. Call it to me if you’d rather not include it in an E-mail.
- The most frequently asked question concerns the cost of the Vision Tour. You will make your own travel plans, arriving in Vancouver in time for the beginning Orientation. Allow at least an hour to clear Canadian customs and thirty minutes to make the hotel shuttle connection. Airfare is hard to estimate since the airports of origin differ widely. If you find airfare to Vancouver to be too high for your budget, try flying to Seattle (SeaTac Airport). From Seattle to Vancouver is 150 miles in a rent car or approximately $90 round trip from the Seattle airport to the Vancouver airport on the (4 hours one-way) Quick Shuttle – http://www.quickcoach.com. Also Allegiant Air – http://www.allegiantair.com – flies into Bellingham, WA, just 50 miles from Vancouver.
- There is a $75 per person charge for local transportation and two group meals. You should be prepared to write a check or pay cash to WestCoast Baptist Association. Other meals are at your personal expense. Restaurant meals may be slightly more than average U.S. prices. Most U.S. Credit Cards are accepted with the exception of Discover Card.
- We stay at the Executive Inn Express Hotel, in Richmond, B.C. – http://www.executivehotels.net/vancouverairportexpresshotel/s_richex_home.cgi, just five minutes from the Vancouver Airport, with free Airport Shuttle service. Your hotel rate is $75 per night plus Canadian taxes. With the U.S./Canadian exchange rate being fairly even, the cost would be approximately $95 per night for a single or half that for a shared room with two double beds. The Hotel provides a free hot Breakfast.
- Concerning the agenda, we will meet with pastors, church planters, collegiate ministers, missionaries, etc. for the purpose of informing you of ministry partnership possibilities in metro Vancouver. If you wish to remain in the area for additional days we will arrange visits for you according to interest.
- A valid Passport is required for entry into Canada and re-entry to the U.S. No exceptions.
A Vision Tour brochure with additional information is available at your request.

Monument Hill Country Church
Monument Hill Country Church (Hubbardton, VT) is in the starting stages. They are lots of horse-culture people in the area. They are calling this a “Country” church rather than “Cowboy” because it fits the context better. They are meeting in a 200-year-old building, near the only battle site in VT of the Revolutionary War - Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site.
The floor of building needs a lot of work. The pilings under floor have rotted (16’x18’ wood beams). They have been replaced by some concrete blocks. The floor is like a washboard. They are looking for some teams to help out with this renovation.
They hope to officially launch the church on Easter Sunday.
For more information please contact Johnnie Loar by email (jolaloar@aol.com) or by phone (817-235-2570). I also have about 20 photos of the floor and building if you would like to see what the work looks like.
