Christian BMX Bike Assemblies/Rally

October 22
Plainview, TX

The ministry of Real Encounter uses action sports as a platform to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. The ministry features Motorcycle Stunt Riding, BMX Stunt Team, Flatland BMX, Flatland Skateboarding, Freestyle Motocross and an Illusionist simply as a means of connection with the culture. Action Sports is the platform, but make no mistake; Jesus Christ has center-stage in this dynamic ministry. They plan on being in schools for public assemblies Monday through Wednesday putting on a small show and encouraging students to attend the “Harvest Event” on Wednesday night where they will see the “big show” and more importantly will hear a clear gospel message and be given the opportunity to respond.

Panhandle Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s Game Day Rally is an opportunity for students, from all across the Panhandle, to join together for an afternoon of fun, friends, fellowship, food and faith. We invite campus huddles (middle and high school, and college), church youth groups, schools without an FCA campus ministry, and anyone else who wants to participate. FCA is a non-denominational ministry and you don’t have to be an athlete to participate. Every year hundreds come to enjoy solid Christian music and to be challenged with the message of Christ. For each of the past four years, we’ve seen 100-200 first time decisions for Christ. This year will be no exception as we’re fortunate to have one of the great evangelists in the state of Texas. Jon Randles will bring a message that relates to students, is clear and understandable in its delivery, is most often entertaining and educational, and will challenge every person to evaluate their relationship with God.

The registration fee of $20 includes: music (contemporary Christian band), message (Jon Randles), Game Day tee shirt, ticket to the WTAMU football game against Eastern New Mexico, food (hamburgers/hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks), fun, fellowship and new friends. Advance registration is required.

Our goal is to reach cowboys that work in the 25 Feed Lots and 8 Dairies in Deaf Smith County. There are on average 8 people employed at each of these.

There are 475,000 head of cattle in the fed yards of Deaf Smith county on any given day. One million head of cattle are fed annually with 7.8% of the cattle fed in the United States are fed within a 50 mile radius of Hereford. with an impact of $3.1 billion regionally. 25% of beef produced comes from Deaf Smith County.

Deaf Smith county is 4th among 254 counties in the state of Texas in milk production which economically impacts the county by $133 million and the state by $170 million. For every 100 cows, a dairy farm creates 8-10 jobs, directly and indirectly.
