Fiesta Ring

November 07 – 08, 2014

Texas Baptist Handbell Festivals offer an opportunity for youth and adult bell choirs from around the state to come together in a mass choir setting. Emphasis is placed on music preparation, skill development and the use of handbells in ministry and worship. The festival concludes on Saturday afternoon with a public concert featuring massed ringing.

Handbells & Tables

Each choir is responsible for furnishing its own bells, tables, covers, foam, etc. 8′ Tables are available to rent at $12 per table if desired and will be ready for your choir on arrival. Rental tables must be requested and paid for at the time of registration.

Hart Morris, Clinician

Mr. Hart Morris was born on November 5, 1946, in Oklahoma City, OK. He is retired as the music minister for Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Previous positions include serving as music minister for First Baptist Church in Deerfield Beach, FL; Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, TX; Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston, TX; and Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music and Voice from Oklahoma Baptist University, and a Master in Choral Conducting from the University of Houston. Various accomplishments include being the U.S. conductor at the 2002 AGEHR International Symposium in Pusan, Korea; serving as Chair of the AGEHR Area IX; and working as composer, arranger and publisher of handbell and choral music. Awards include the ASCAP Standard Award, the Oklahoma Baptist University Profile in Excellence Award in 2004, and the Oklahoma Baptist University Distinguished Music Alumni Award in 2005.

Each church is responsible for making and paying for its reservation from the room block. Each church is also responsible for providing its own Tax Exempt Certificates.
