For Texas Baptists, the Acts 1:8 initiative is more than a mandate, it is a challenge. That’s why we work together with national and international missions and organizations to find new ways to bring the good news and proclaim the hope of Christ. Our overall goal is to increase participation in missions.

Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

An organization owned and operated by a group of individuals for their mutual benefit unified voluntarily to meet their common economic, social and cultural needs and goals.

Hope 1:8 Missions Co-op
A group of Christians pooling time, partnerships, money and love to reach out to people in need of food, love, clothes, hope, shelter, salvation.

Hope 1:8, constructed from Christ’s mandate found in Acts 1:8, is focused on enabling churches and individuals to personally be involved in mission trips, even if it’s just to the neighbor’s house, and cooperative missions giving to reach the world beyond our circle of influence for Christ in a way that we can only do by working together. Our neighbors, our cities, state, nation and world are searching.
