The Bible Study/Discipleship team exists to provide consultations, training, special events, tools and resources to help Texas Baptist congregations develop Acts 1:8 believers.


Transformational Church

“Transformational Church” is a new church revitalization process developed by LifeWay Christian Resources. Lifeway team members had conversations and interviews with over 7,000 congregations from various denominations to determine what they are doing to cause transformation in the lives of their congregations. BaptistWay Press

BaptistWay Press provides low-cost and no-cost Bible study materials. Materials for adult Bible study are available in seven languages and are packaged in 13-lesson undated quarterlies for use at any time. Each study includes a teaching guide, a student guide and a large-print student guide. You can also access study materials for preschool and school-aged children, as well as youth. Our staff can work with you via one-day consultations to help your church improve growth and development of Bible study, Sunday School and small groups. Acts 1:8 Sunday School Award

This new associational and state recognition recognizes churches for excellence in Sunday School work in four crucial areas; increase in the numbers of Sunday School prospects, increase in Sunday School enrollment, increase in the numbers of Sunday School leaders trained, and starting new Sunday School units.
