Hello! I'm Kaitlin Warrington and I work with international students at the University of Texas at Dallas. I absolutely love welcoming the nations that have come to Texas and letting them know that there are people who will love them, help them and connect them to the love of God! Here at UTD, there are 8,000 international students from more than 100 different countries…. The world truly has come to this campus!
Through this work, I get to partner with my husband, who serves as the Baptist Student Ministry director at UT Dallas, and together we love to shepherd college students, whether they are from Texas or around the world. Our hope is that while they are on our college campus, we get to help lead students to discover more about how God has made them and the purpose He has for them. We desire to help these students grow into faithful disciples of Jesus who become disciple makers wherever they go in life.
My journey to working with international students started back in high school when I fell in love with other cultures through spending many Spring Breaks in Mexico partnering with a local Baptist church there to host VBS and sports camps. Through the next decade, the Lord provided opportunities for me to serve in Central Asia and South Asia as well as several places in Europe and Central America. With each experience and partnership, I fell more in love with the diverse people of the world and desired for them to know about God’s love for them and His provision of a way to have a restored relationship with Him. I also began to take students on international cultural trips and it has been an incredible blessing to help others discover the same thing as they engage with cultures and people different from themselves.
Ministry partnership is so important as sharing the gospel is not intended to be done alone! I’d love for you to join me in praying for God's work at UTD and for Him to lead and guide our BSM team. Also, I’d love for you to consider becoming a financial partner, supporting the efforts to reach out to international students. The world has come to our college campuses. Will you consider partnering with me in bringing the gospel to them?
