Texas Baptists Missions equips churches to lead, serve and engage others in gospel-centered conversations for Christ. We are actively caring for orphans and families, assisting those affected by disasters, planting house churches, promoting leadership development and providing ministry resources to help those on the mission field.
We invite you to donate to one or more of the giving opportunities.
Thank you for partnering alongside our team to share the love of Christ to those in need.
Border Church Starter Kit
House churches are the most effective way to start churches in low-income areas along the Texas border. More of these simple church starts are needed to share the Good News to so many who do not know Christ. You can help support a new house church by purchasing a Border Church Starter Kit. Your donation will provide items including: 20 folding chairs, two six-foot folding tables, one pop-up canopy, a speaker system and Spanish Bibles.
Coaches for Church Starters
By starting churches throughout Texas, we help fulfill God's call to make disciples. Leaders are needed to coach pastors who will start and reproduce these simple churches. You can help train pastors across the state by funding coaches for church planters.
Church Missions Kit
Churches in Peru along the Amazon River and in Lima are growing rapidly. Many church planters are in great need of chairs, tents, tables, sound systems and other equipment for their churches. These churches also become community gathering places, and the gospel is presented to families who have not heard about Jesus through these gatherings. You can help share the gospel to people in Lima and the Amazon by purchasing a missions kit.
Simple Church Starter Kit
There are churches that do not meet in a church building to worship. They may meet in homes, garages, parks or under a tree. There, congregations worship, have fellowship, disciple, evangelize and participate in ministry. Many of these churches don't have basic items to host their worship service. You can support simple churches by purchasing a Simple Church Starter Kit. This kit includes two six-foot folding tables, 24 folding chairs, canopies and a sound system.
Support an Urban Missionary
Urban areas can often be some of the most unchurched areas in our nation. Urban missionaries seek to connect churches to their communities through missional training, consulting, coaching and commissioning. They will do this by carefully mapping mission plans with the Texas Baptists Director of Urban Missions. You can help families in unreached communities by supporting an Urban Missionary.

Nutrition Portion Cups
The 2010 earthquake in Haiti brought many challenges, and Haitians are still recovering from the after-effects. Thousands of children in Haiti receive food through We Care Haiti's five point wellness program. This food is designed to fill nutritional gaps in diets of those who live in developing countries, and consists of rice, vitamins, protein and other supplements. Durable cups are needed to provide the correct 6-ounce portion sizes. You can help feed disaster survivors by providing portion cups. A gift of $5 will provide 20 cups.
Shalom Builders aims to mobilize experienced, trained and equipped construction workers to areas affected by disasters. Our goal is to continue rebuilding until God's shalom returns to the area. As communities and homes are rebuilt, the gospel is shared and the love of Christ is evident. You can help mobilize volunteers to purchase building materials and complete home renovations. A gift of $50 can help provide tile for a 5' x 3' bathroom.
BOUNCE Student Disaster Recovery participants, orBOUNCERS, are able to impact communities through their service. We hope the BOUNCE experience will cultivate a love for missions and ministry in the lives of students. You can enable a student with financial challenges to participate in "hands-on" missions with a gift of $279.

Chairs for Retirement Home
Individuals in retirement homes are often overlooked. Many do not have frequent visitors and crave interaction with people. The Barcelona Baptist Retirement Home houses many individuals who are not believers. The Barcelona Baptist Retirement Home partners with Baptist organizations all over the world to show Jesus' love to residents by visiting with them. The residents' chairs at the Barcelona Baptist Retirement Home are starting to wear out and need to be replaced. Show an elderly individual that they are loved by giving them a comfortable chair with a gift of $300.
Many churches along the border are housed in small communities that share resources. A community garden ministry opens doors to develop relationships and creates opportunities to share Christ. They meet every day and help prisoners resolve conflict, respect authority and deepen their faith. Help prisoners across the state draw near to Jesus by providing materials for their churches with a gift of $100.

You can help support a growing house church by covering training expenses for pastors. A gift of $1000 provides training for 10 House Church pastors.
Vehicle Care for Oil Patch Chaplains
Growth in the oil industry has caused a great need for workers in Texas oil fields. Many of these workers live in RV parks surrounding the oil fields. The Oil Patch Chaplains travel to these RV Parks to host Backyard Bible Clubs, hand out Bibles, provide sports camps for workers' children and meet with families. This frequent driving causes a great amount of wear on their cars. An additional vehicle would allow them to serve greater numbers of oil field workers. Help share the gospel by providing tires or a vehicle for the Oil Patch Chaplains.
Bunk Beds in Haiti
Beds and bedding are a chronic need in most of the orphanages in the Fond des Negros area of Haiti. Some orphanages have no beds for their children, and those that do have beds don't have sheets and pillows. Texas Baptists missionaries Ernie and Sharon Rice are teaching locals to build beds using readily available materials. The bed design is simple, strong, flexible and durable. This initiative also provides jobs for locals who will build the beds and training for locals who are interested in learning woodcraft.
