Through almost 50 years of ministry, back and forth across the Red River, serving in churches in Oklahoma and Texas…Larry now finds himself in one of his most challenging and rewarding ministries of all…working with both Boomers and 70+ adults. Having been at First Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas for over 30 years has brought about a unique relationship with older adults, and has enhanced ministry with them. Larry has been married 52 years, three children, and now…9 grandchildren (got time for pictures?)…has brought a growing dimension to life. A strong interest and involvement in the areas of health and fitness has also found expression for all adults over 50 years of age through this new and growing ministry.
Donnie is Associate Pastor as Boomer Pastor and Pastoral Care at North Side Church in Weatherford Texas. He has served at North Side for the past eleven (11) years. He is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas and South Western Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Donnie is married to Marsha and for those past 49 years they have shared life and ministry together.
Kevin Burdette joined the staff of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, TX in the fall of 1991 as the Associate Minister of Worship where he began the Instrumental/Orchestral Ministry and grew the Student Music Ministry to include 250 voice choirs, ensembles, drama teams, dance teams and instrumental groups. In 2006, Kevin began to feel God challenging him to do something new in ministry. About that same time the Pastor and Senior Associate Pastor of the church approached Kevin about beginning a new ministry focused on the Baby Boomer Generation and working with church members to begin new ministries.
In the summer of 2007 the Adult Impact Ministries (AIM) was launched and has grown to be a vital part of the ministries at Green Acres Baptist Church and in the Tyler community.
Kevin received his BA from the University of Mobile (AL) and master’s degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. He also studied two summers at Oxford University in England.
Kevin and his wife, Penny, met the first week he was on staff at Green Acres. They have two sons, Reed (15) and Eric (11). Kevin and his family love to sing, read, sports (college football) play musical instruments, and travel – especially to any Disney destination.
Keith has served churches in Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee in youth, music, education, administration, adults, single adults, and outreach & evangelism, for 43 years. He has worked with the Baptist Sunday School Board, (now Lifeway), as an Adult Sunday School consultant, where he wrote and led national Sunday School conferences for adults and wrote multiple articles for Lifeway publications.
Keith makes his home in Arlington, Texas, where he happily lives with his amazing wife, Suzanne. Since January, 2008, Keith has been privileged to work with Texas Baptists Discipleship group, part of the Great Commission Team, as an Adult Discipleship Specialist, marking 10 years with Texas Baptists in January of 2018. In his work, Keith does Sunday School consultations and training for churches and associations across Texas and throughout the U.S. His primary areas of focus are Adult Sunday School and Discipleship, Marriage and Family Ministry, Single Adult Ministry, Boomer Ministry, and more. He also does personal and corporate coaching.
