My name is Rebekah Richardson!  I graduated from the University of Houston in May of 2017 with a B.A. in Liberal Studies, with concentrations in English, Spanish, and Phronesis. I live in Houston and am passionate about learning how literacy can bring peace and wholeness to the inner city brokenness in Houston. I am excited about using my skills to help others and see what God will do through me.

I moved to Houston so that I could go to college at UH. Since then, this city has made a tremendous impact on me and the way I interact with God. I know that God has called me to this ministry because I have specific skills and gifts that can be used in the endeavor for wholeness and peace here. He has also opened doors for me in unique ways and made it possible for me to stay in this city that is so dear to my heart.

Involvement in this ministry is important because God calls us, as the church, to use our own gift of freedom to serve others.
Galatians 5:13 states, For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

People can get involved by giving financially and asking me (and the Holy Spirit!) how they can pray. If they live in the Houston area, they can ask me about getting involved in hands on ministry by volunteering as a mentor or tutor to an inner city child.
