Decapolis Project

To plant emerging churches in Mexico’s most populated cities

This project is a joint effort of local Mexican Baptist churches, Mexican Regional and National Baptist Conventions and the Texas Baptists with the goal of planting emerging churches. The purpose of Mexico Missions is to mobilize Texas Baptists to participate in intentional evangelism, leadership training and church planting.

Over half of the 110 million people who live in Mexico live in one of 10 mega cities (see map inside). Six of these cities (Guadalajara, León, Queretaro, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí) are in an area of the country where the number of evangelical Christians is only 0-2 percent.
