Annual Church Profile

The purpose of the Annual Church Profile (ACP) is to enable your church to examine its progress of ministry and growth. As you cooperatively share this information, associations, state conventions and Baptist agencies are better able to assist your congregation in all areas of church life.


The ACP reporting for the BGCT and the SBDS (Southern Baptist Directory Services) have been combined into one booklet. Churches have the option to use either process. Churches that do not file electronically can fill out the booklet, make a copy for their records, and give the original file to the association. Some churches choose to fill out the booklet to retain for historical records and complete the online portion for submission.

Like last year, all three parts: statistical profile, leadership profile and historical profile can be completed this year on the Texas Baptists website. Click the buttons below to continue the process. If you need a booklet to complete, please click the “Download Booklet” button below.

Please enter statistical data for a full twelve months. The reporting period for most associations runs from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. Check with your association to see if your 12 month reporting period might be different.

One new item we are asking for this year is your Federal Employer Identification Number which is used in filing W-2 income tax forms. We report to the IRS yearly BGCT affiliated churches, which come under our tax exempt umbrella, so reporting this number will be very helpful. Information about the EIN and how to obtain one can be found here.

We ask that all ACP information be returned by the church/association to the BGCT or submitted online by November 30, 2015.


Church Vital Signs Log

A simple Excel spreadsheet to help your church measure basic items of church participation on a weekly basis. Two versions are offered, the first is used to track data from September 2015 to August 2016 and the second to track data from October 2015 to September 2016.
