The Office of Hispanic Ministries exists to encourage, inform, and help Hispanic Baptist churches aligned with the Baptist General Convention of Texas reach the goals the Lord has given them. Our goal is to assist these congregations in their ministry, utilizing the wide variety of services and ministries available through our office.
Entrena-T Leadership Training
In total, since its launch in October 2009, more than 200 Hispanic leaders have begun the journey of becoming the leaders that God wants them to become through our Entrena-T ministry.
El Centro de Liderazgo Entrena-T tiene como meta principal el desarrollar líderes dentro de nuestras congregaciones hispanas que hagan una diferencia e impacten a nuestro estado con el Evangelio de Cristo. Hispanic Education Initiative
Education is a fundamental building block for having options in a chosen career path. The goal of the Hispanic Education Initiative is to keep students in school through graduation and then on to college, reclaiming students who left school and helping preschoolers be prepared for Kindergarten.
There are scholarships available through our office for Hispanic Baptist students active in BGCT Hispanic churches. Among these are the Mary Hill Davis Ethnic Minority Scholarship, the DBU Young Hispanic Leader Scholarship and others.
