Students completed their final day of disaster recovery work in Nederland, TX! Students completed two roofs in the rain, and installed sheet rock and cabinets. Today teams presented their homeowners with a team picture and a Bible. Homeowners have felt immensely loved by these students'service. This week Bounce students had over 54 spiritual conversations, 16 gospel presentation, and 164 acts of kindness. Two students even committed their life to Christ! Teams have built one another up, challenged each other and encouraged one another. Those teams who finished their projects early went to assist other teams at their work sites.
Students have been challenged this week to go out empowered by the Holy Spirit for a purpose. That purpose is to go out and share the gospel to those in their life through service and through sharing the gospel. While the work that these students have done this week will have a lasting impact on these homeowners, there is still work to be done when they return home. Our hope is that students would live an Acts 1:8 lifestyle.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
