Worship this week in Dallas has been exceptional and the BOUNCERS have participated in every way, from learning new songs, giving to our BOUNCE offering, and praying for “least of these”. Wednesday night was a Concert of Prayer, which prompted students and student leaders to pray and consider various needs and people of their community. This concert included songs, silence, Scripture reading, and audible prayers. Our BOUNCE staff also participated by reading Scripture and prompts during the service. After the service, groups were dismissed to spend time with their youth groups to consider ways to BOUNCE back home and serve their local church and community, just as they are doing this week.
It is exciting to see these BOUNCERS so eager to serve their community when they return home at the end of the week. Our hope is that these students and student leaders would continue to share the love of Christ and the gospel in their youth groups, churches, schools, and hometowns.
Pray that participants would have the opportunity to practice serving once they return home. Also pray that their towns would be drawn to know the love of Christ through these BOUNCERS.
Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.
The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
