The Week of Prayer for Texas Missions and the Mary Hill Davis Offering will be held September 11-18, 2016. With a statewide goal of $4 million, the offering will go to support missions endeavors around Texas through strategic ministry partnerships.
David Hardage, executive director of Texas Baptists, is urging churches to support the offering. “I’m asking each church to double their gift to the Mary Hill Davis Offering this year,” Hardage said. “The work of the Mary Hill Davis Offering sends and supports our state-wide missionaries. As we engage a changing culture with new and different challenges, we need to work together to make an impact. Through our partnership, we can reach Texas with the life-saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Allocations for the 2017 offering will help fund church starting, BOUNCE student disaster recovery projects, Texas Baptist missionaries, Hispanic summer missions, Special Friends Retreats, River Ministry, Youth Evangelism Conferences, Christian Women’s Job Corp, strategic refugee outreach and a number of additional projects.
“The Mary Hill Davis Offering allows us to have 12 Hispanic summer missionaries in churches,” said Gabriel Cortez, director of the Hispanic Education Initiative. “Their mission is to help children and youth at each congregation reach the potential for which they were created. Thank you for your gifts to the Mary Hill Davis Offering.”

“The Mary Hill Davis Offering meets the needs of Texas better than any offering or fund I know,” said Hardage. “This year’s theme is ‘Boundless’ and I hope that you and your church faithfully give, without limits, as you join in the work done through this offering.”
