TXB Spotlight with Robert White

by Texas Baptists Communications on June 25, 2024 in TXB Spotlight

This month we are spotlighting Pastor Robert White at Freedom Church in Bedford, TX! Join us in praying for Pastor White and Freedom Church as they continue to reach their community!

Q: What is one exciting thing God is doing in your church right now?

A: I would say it has been about 7 to 8 months of expansive growth. We have doubled in attendance and just a few weeks ago we baptized 47 people in one weekend. God is saving people, He is saving lives and has given us the strength to do ministry in ways we have only imagined!

Q: How can people pray for your church?

A: With the growth comes good problems. I would say that we have been praying that, as a church, we would each disciple well. It’s one thing to invite a bunch of people into the Kingdom of God, but it’s another thing to walk with them as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. The biggest prayer request that we have is that He would send laborers for this harvest. So that this would become not just a moment, but a movement!

Q: What is a story about how God used your church in a big way that can encourage other churches?

A: There’s a question that every church should ask. “If your church were to leave its community, would the community notice?” Our church is often mentioned in the “HEB” community as the church that people call on when they are in need, who need support and have a church that they know is praying for them. Churches need to know that what they are doing does make a difference! They don’t need to make a “splash” because sometimes that “ripple” goes a long way.

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
