This month we want to spotlight Pastor Romney Santos at Brazilian American Baptist Church in Plano, Texas! Join us as we pray for the Brazilian-American Baptist Church and the great things God is doing there!
Q: When and how did God call you to be a pastor?
A: God called me to the ministry 32 years ago. I was 16 years old, just six months after becoming a believer. At that time, God spoke to me and confirmed in my pastor and church my calling to serve him and his church through the privileged role. In the Bible, God spoke to me in 2 Timothy 2:15-22. Five years later, I was sent to the seminary. In January 2001, I started my pastoral journey as lead pastor after serving as a leader in many different roles. So, now I am 47 years old and happy to serve my God for 31 years.
Q: What is one exciting thing God is doing in your church right now?
A: I have seen God transform lives, minds and hearts. I have seen God bring people to support the church, investing their talents and time to help the church grow and serve him with a pure and sincere heart. I have seen God take care of my wife’s health during her multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Finally, the most wonderful thing I have seen is both my daughters serving in the church and growing in obedience to faith, investing their lives in God’s kingdom.
Q: How can we be praying for your church?
A: Pray for God to continue leading us to be transformed in Christ and boldly extend His Kingdom, reaching people from all generations and teaching them to love Him with their minds, souls and hearts.
