I was greatly impacted by the Baptist Student Ministry while in college, so much so my mother once commented that I “majored in BSM". I remember thinking how amazing it would be if I really could major in BSM! Little did I know that one day I more or less would. I’ve served in three BSMs across Oklahoma and Texas. I've found introducing students to faith, mentoring by equipping and developing leaders and journeying with them through their theological and personal struggles is the essence of my calling and joy as a minister.
During college an individual makes some of the most important life decisions. What will I major in? Do I want to get married? If so, who will I marry? Is faith important to me? Is faith different than religion? Will I continue believing what my parents taught me? The list goes on, but you get the idea. It is my pleasure to journey with students and provide wisdom as they investigate these questions.
