River Ministry and Mexico Missions

You and your church can minister along the Texas and Mexico border by giving financially, donating supplies and volunteering to serve. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Mario Gonzalez at mario.gonzalez[at]txb.org or (214) 828-5389.

Trips are primarily taken during Spring break, Christmas break and Summer but can be customized to fit your specific schedule. River Ministry missionaries engage the community in a number of ways. Areas of ministry include health clinics, counseling sessions, events to help various family needs, outreach, VBS or social events.

Current areas of River Ministry work include the following:

• El Paso, TX / Juárez
• Laredo, TX
• Brownsville, TX / Matamoros
• Rio Grande Valley, TX (McAllen / Reynosa, Harlingen, Brownsville)
• Big Bend Association, TX
• Del Rio / Acuña
• Eagle Pass, TX / Piedras Negras
• Zapata County, TX / Falcon Heights Ciudad Guerrero, MX

Your group may also be able to dedicate a day or two to ministry on the Mexican side of the border.

If you are specifically interested in doing a medical or dental mission trip we have medical missionaries in Juárez, Big Bend, Piedras Negras, Acuña and Matamoros. Medical teams are also welcome in any of the locations listed above.
