Texas Baptists desire to assist our churches with awareness and education on the topic of sexual abuse prevention, specifically in ministry contexts. We partner with MinistrySafe to offer online webinar opportunities on a variety of topics related to sexual abuse prevention. The 60 - 90 minute webinars take a deeper dive into topics such as Background Checks, Sexual Abuse Awareness Training, Skillful Screening, Monitoring and Oversight, Policies and Procedures, and many more. This is a 2 hour online presentation on the effective parts of a Safety System, created for ministers that are unable to attend a live training.

Sexual Abuse Awareness Training

Sexual Abuse Awareness Training is key in equipping staff members and volunteers to better understand the risk of child sexual abuse.  Texas Baptists is providing FREE access to this nearly 90 minute online training video and certification quiz, the first step of the MinistrySafe 5-Part Safety System, to encourage, support, and equip you with information to protect children in your care.

Gregory Love

Gregory Love is a recognized expert in legal standards of care related to child sexual abuse, providing crisis response to ministries and churches nationwide. Litigating sexual abuse cases across the United States, his unique perspective provides valuable counsel to ministry and secular consulting clients, including the United States Olympic Committee, Awana International, Nazarene Global Ministries, Bob Jones University, Methodist conferences and Baptist Conventions and Associations. A shareholder and partner in the law firm of Love & Norris, Love serves as co-founder of MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems. In addition to creating loss control resources for insurance companies, Love regularly trains underwriting and risk management professionals to assess sexual abuse risk. Love has served as guest lecturer at Texas Wesleyan School of Law, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary.
