“We’re not talking about statistics; we’re talking about names and faces of real people,”

During the first business session of the 137th Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) Annual Meeting, messengers elected new officers, approved the 2023 budget and heard reports from the Executive Director Search Committee and Gen Z/Millennial Task Force.

The rally was a time of fellowship and worship for Millenial and Generation Z pastors and ministers and was held at a coffee shop in downtown Waco.

“Having this knowledge can make the church relevant again in the public sphere of ideas and influence,”

“Our vision is for people to be revived and our mission is for people to rise,”

“It was an exciting thing to see the students get behind it,”

“We figured the best way for us to equip our church to share the gospel was for us to get out and do it together.

“The Great Commission was given to the church, and yet we see throughout scripture that it starts at the home,”

“As soon as they step off the bus they’re asking about the next year,”
