Approximately 20 middle school and high school students from First Baptist Church Plano will be volunteering at two local Plano residences, providing assistance and doing repairs on the homes as part of “BOUNCE Back Home Day of Service.”

During the second week of March, 168 middle school and high school students and group leaders from eight churches across Texas served in Waco, TX, through BOUNCE Student Disaster Recovery.
Texas Baptists leaders and ministry teams are taking precautionary measures to address the potential spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19). The Texas Baptists Missions Team and Go Now Missions recently provided updates to students and churches engaging in upcoming mission trips in Texas and abroad regarding the coronavirus.
The Missions Team has launched several new initiatives to reach younger generations, including Devoted and two new mentorship programs.
During the 2019 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting, nine churches were given special recognition for their giving through the Cooperative Program.
In addition to providing invaluable physical help to hurting communities, this Texas Baptists ministry of junior high, high school and college-aged students is expanding to provide support to budding churches as well.
Alyssa, an incoming high school student, said that she is looking forward to sharing the gospel with kids and helping them further their faith this week during back-yard Bible clubs. We are so thankful for these student’s positive attitudes and willingness to serve in any capacity that furthers Christ’s Kingdom.
Bouncers had the privilege of experiencing a glimpse of heaven this week as the Church came together to be the fullest expression of God’s boundless love and grace.
It’s been a year and a half since Hurricane Harvey pummeled through South Texas. Damage lingers and volunteers are still needed to continue restoration. That is why this year’s Spring Break BOUNCE Student Disaster Recovery volunteers focused recovery efforts in the affected area.
