“And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.” 2 Corinthians 9:14
It is with great joy that I share the news of our Punan community. Since the beginning of the year, we have seen our discipleship relationships and activities take on the form of a church. This greatly encourages us and makes us happy. Everyone already understands the concept that a church involves personally caring for one another, rather than being a physical place.
In a very natural way, we had the opportunity to approach two couples, whose husbands were previously closed to any type of conversation with us. We set a time to watch a Christian movie, and for God’s glory, we had these moments together. It surprised us greatly to see the action of God in that moment and in our prayers and relationships with them. Be praying for these couples (Josilene and Gideon, Drika and Carlos).
I ask you also to pray for the family of Aricleuton and Daniele, with whom we have always shared the Gospel. Daniele shared with us that they went through a very difficult time in their marriage. Since the three of us are single, we are asking God to direct us to help them, because we know that they are in need of restoration in their relationship.
We were able to minister in one of our meetings with women through the testimony of a lady from our mother church (FBC of Uarini). Please pray for these women. We know of the need to talk to these women about spiritual life, family, children, personal testimony, etc.
Finally, Bianca, Amanda and I are well and very healthy. We will be in Manaus next month for another module of the missionary formation course. I ask that you do not stop praying for all the work in the community of Punã and of all the other riverside communities of the Amazon with missionary presence.
Let us remain with our Lord, and move forward with His love. Thank you so much for being with us. May God bless you, and you may count on my prayers also.
